Photography is a relatively new hobby for me. My father's a professional photographer - he runs his own studio, and he worked as a photojournalist for almost 30 years. Growing up, I had a few short-lived periods of interest in photography, but I didn't make a serious attempt at producing an interesting photo until the summer of 2002 when I was preparing for my trip to Australia.

My initial camera was the mostly manual, film-based Nikon FM3A, which is a great camera. I recently switched to the Canon 10D, which is digital, and also a great camera.
